Most online meat services ship mass-produced cuts with little control over grading or sourcing. At Ninth and Prime, every steak comes from a fourth-generation butcher shop on 9th Street in South Philadelphia, proudly serving the community for over 125 years. Our heritage ensures unmatched craftsmanship and consistency.
Yes. We grade and source our beef to the exact same standards trusted by Michelin-starred chefs and iconic steakhouses. The cuts you receive at home are identical in quality to what is served in the finest dining rooms.
Unlike other online meat delivery companies that rely on pre-packaged, factory-processed products, our steaks are hand-cut by expert butchers who have perefected their craft accross generations. This means no shortcuts, no compromises – only the highest-quality meat, prepared with care.
Our premium products are never frozen—just like the fresh cuts a top chef would select at a fine steakhouse. Each piece is individually portioned, vacuum-sealed, and cold-packed to preserve freshness. We use state-of-the-art thermal insulated packaging to ensure optimal temperature control, keeping your order perfectly chilled throughout its entire journey.
We currently ship Monday through Thursday with deliveries within approximately two days. We use state-of-the-art insulation that keeps our product cold and fresh during its journey. Orders received on previous day of our normal delivery days will usually ship out the following day.
We currently ship anywhere within the lower 48 states; however, we are unable to ship to PO Boxes or military bases.
We operate on a tiered shipping system? Orders of $249 or below have a $30 shipping charge. Orders of $250 or more have free shipping. The more you buy, the less you pay to ship!

We source all our products from trusted farmers and fishermen with whom we've developed longstanding partnerships. Our animals are raised with the highest animal wellfare and environmental standards. All of our ranch, farmers and fishing partners consider themselves stewards of the lands and waters they work and adhere to strict sustainability protocols.
- Bone-in meat should be enjoyed or frozen within 5 days of delivery.
- Boneless meat should be used or frozen within 10 days of delivery.
- Seafood is best enjoyed fresh and not recommended for refreezing. However, it can be safely refrozen if needed within a few days of arrival.
