Garlic Mashed Potatoes

These garlic mashed potatoes are buttery, creamy, and packed with roasted garlic flavor—the perfect side for steak, pork, or seafood.

INGREDIENTS

2 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes (or Russet potatoes)

1 head roasted garlic (or 4-5 fresh garlic cloves, minced)

½ cup heavy cream (or whole milk)

4 tbsp unsalted butter

¼ cup sour cream (optional, for extra creaminess)

Salt & black pepper, to taste

2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional, but highly recommended)

1 tbsp chopped fresh chives or parsley (for garnish)

Roast the Garlic (Optional but Recommended)

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. Slice the top off a whole head of garlic, drizzle with olive oil, wrap in foil, and roast for 35-40 minutes until soft and golden.

3. Let cool, then squeeze out the soft garlic cloves.

Boil the Potatoes

1. Peel and cut potatoes into chunks.

2. Place in a pot of cold, salted water and bring to a boil. Cook for 15-20 minutes until fork-tender.

3. Drain and return potatoes to the pot.

Mash & Mix

1. Mash the potatoes while they’re still hot.

2. Stir in roasted garlic (or minced fresh garlic), butter, heavy cream, sour cream, and Parmesan.

3. Season with salt & black pepper to taste.

Serve & Enjoy

Garnish with fresh chives or parsley.

Serve hot and watch them disappear!
