Garlic Mashed Potatoes

These garlic mashed potatoes are buttery, creamy, and packed with roasted garlic flavor—the perfect side for steak, pork, or seafood.
INGREDIENTS
• 2 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes (or Russet potatoes)
• 1 head roasted garlic (or 4-5 fresh garlic cloves, minced)
• ½ cup heavy cream (or whole milk)
• 4 tbsp unsalted butter
• ¼ cup sour cream (optional, for extra creaminess)
• Salt & black pepper, to taste
• 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional, but highly recommended)
• 1 tbsp chopped fresh chives or parsley (for garnish)
Roast the Garlic (Optional but Recommended)
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Slice the top off a whole head of garlic, drizzle with olive oil, wrap in foil, and roast for 35-40 minutes until soft and golden.
3. Let cool, then squeeze out the soft garlic cloves.
Boil the Potatoes
1. Peel and cut potatoes into chunks.
2. Place in a pot of cold, salted water and bring to a boil. Cook for 15-20 minutes until fork-tender.
3. Drain and return potatoes to the pot.
Mash & Mix
1. Mash the potatoes while they’re still hot.
2. Stir in roasted garlic (or minced fresh garlic), butter, heavy cream, sour cream, and Parmesan.
3. Season with salt & black pepper to taste.
Serve & Enjoy
• Garnish with fresh chives or parsley.
• Serve hot and watch them disappear!
